We have 2 seasons in MN. “Winter is Here” and “Winter is Coming”.

If we’re lucky, the “Winter is Coming” season lasts a couple extra weeks on each end. It didn’t happen this year and we’re over our average opening date now. We hold out blind hope for an extended fall. It’s what we do.

Our summers are glorious though. We do the best we can to jam as much into these next 5-6 months as possible. Cabins, fishing, boating, hiking, and biking. Bon fires, late nights and just being outside. We love our summers.

The home course opens on Thursday and the anticipation of a new season is high. The work has been put in this winter. Goals are set. Some new gear has been purchased. It’s time. It’s time for golf in MN.

Whether you’re at the beginning of your season or somewhere in the middle, I wish you well. Make some putts, laugh a lot, and look for the joys that only this game can provide.

Now go get that peg in the ground and tee it frequently because winter is coming.
